Jawas are native inhabitants of Tatooine in the Star Wars universe. Small-statured with rough hand-woven robes covering their bodies and faces hidden beneath black hoods, only their glowing yellow eyes visible. They are experienced scavengers who operate large tracked sand crawlers, searching desert wastelands for abandoned mechanical parts and discarded droids to resell to moisture farmers and traders.
